Who We Are
Doug Cornish, DMD
I’ve always known that I wanted to work in the healthcare field. Coupled with the fact that I enjoy working with my hands, dentistry has proven to be a most satisfying career choice. This professional path was previously laid out for me by my grandfather, who owned a successful dental practice in Arkansas. A respected member of our hometown community and a great family man, my grandfather definitely had an influence in my life.
Growing up in North Little Rock, AR, I was active in sports throughout elementary and high school. I received my undergraduate degree, a BA in Microbiology, from the University of Arkansas. In 2004, I graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry with my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. For the next eight years, I practiced dentistry in Nashville, TN, where I owned my first practice.
A desire to be closer to my family, led me to Texas in 2012. In August of 2015, I married the love of my life from Mesquite, TX. We now have two little boys ages 2 and 4.
Our Friendly Smiles
Christina became a registered dental assistant in 2015. She has been practicing with Dr. Cornish since 2017. She likes getting to know each patient and helping each patient become more comfortable in the dental chair. Christina is married to her husband Emmitt and together they have four boys. They like to go to hockey games and spend time together as a family.
Kassandra has been with Crandall Dental since April 2019. She graduated from Tyler Junior College in 2002 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She also received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2013 from Northern Arizona University. She currently serves as the Texas Dental Hygienists' Association's trustee for Dallas. When she is not helping people improve their smiles, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Susan has been with Dr. Cornish since July 2021-She started her dental career as an assistant in 1988 and has since moved to the front office. She likes getting to know her patients and helping them maximize their dental insurance to achieve their forever smiles. Susan and her husband moved to Texas 3 1/2 yrs ago to be closer to family and enjoy their time with their grandbabies. They enjoy watching hockey, football and NASCAR when not taking the babies fishing!
